John Adams Fine Art presents an exhibition of works by Mairi Clark titled Highlands & Islands.
Mairi Clark began her career as a painter studying at the Chelsea and Central St. Martin’s Schools of Art where she gained a BA Honours in Fine Art. She has exhibited extensively throughout Scotland, and the UK and her work is to be found in both private and corporate collections.
Influences by the work of William Turner, Van Gogh and Joan Eardley, can be seen in her work; while her gestural mark-making suggests an affinity with the Abstract Expressionists’ methods of working.
