Edouard Hervé, born in 1958, is a sculptor who lives and works in Brittany. Self-taught, he has focused on sculpture for the last fifteen years, refining his creativity to produce lyrical and organic shapes in bronze.
By the judicious use of asymmetrical lines and sinuous curves, Hervé suggests movement and an illusion of weightlessness in his sculptures. This sensation is further enhanced by the light playing on the lustrous finish to each bronze, and the asymmetrical shapes conversely contrive to bring a sense of balance and harmony.
Edouard Hervé exhibits regularly in Paris, throughout Brittany, and Switzerland.
